Three vehicles were all involved in a motor vehicle accident on Route 322 in Hamilton Township Tuesday morning when the driver of one vehicle attempted to make a turn and was rear ended by another. Police say all three drivers involved were taken to area hospitals; one was cited for careless driving. ##
North Wildwood is looking for applicants for the annual Miss North Wildwood Pageant, to be held this July at the North End American Grille. The winner of this year’s event can collect $500 and represent the city at various public events. ##
The United States Coast Guard rescued five people who were on a boat headed for some pilings in Atlantic Highlands over the weekend. The boat lost power to an engine and was drifting towards a collision with the piling before the Coast Guard attached a tow line to the boat and towed it safely away.
Another major beach renourishment project is coming to New Jersey. State officials will be in Ortley Beach, Ocean County on Wednesday to usher in a northern Ocean County beach fill project that will cost $128 million. The project will restore beaches that were stripped by Hurricane Sandy. ##

Police say Tyler Caspersen attempted to pull away from two officers and spit on them after he was apprehended at the Cozy Crest Motel. Capsersen was taken to the County Jail.…
Wildwood Crest Police have charged a 22 year old man with simple assault during a weekend disturbance at a local motel. Ernesto Almovodar of Philadelphia is accused of causing minor injuries to his mother during an argument at the Jolly Roger Motel; he was taken to the County jail following his arrest. ##

There was a shooting involving a New Jersey State Trooper during the holiday weekend. Police say a 35 year old man was shot in his Jefferson Township home after being wanted for assaulting his girlfriend. Police say Matthew Gerndt charged aggressive towards a trooper who discharged his weapon. ##
