A major honor for the North Wildwood Police Department as it has been accredited by a state program. A recognition ceremony was held Tuesday in the city to honor the police department for achieving the three year accreditation. Annual reports are required to keep the compliance in good standing. ##

Townsend’s Inlet Bridge will re-open Friday afternoon. According to a County notice posted on the Borough of Avalon’s website, the bridge will re-open to vehicular traffic sometime Friday afternoon. A $100,000 federal grant is coming to the Woodbine Volunteer Fire Company. Congressman Frank LoBiondo announced that the grant will be used to help obtain critical life saving equipment. Woodbine received $52,000 from the same program 15 years ago. ##
