A 34 year old Pleasantville man has been arrested and charged with stealing lamb from a Shoprite supermarket in Upper Township. State Police say Geoffrey Tomlinson has been charged with stealing the meat back in August. Tomlinson has been charged with shoplifting.
There was a molten glass breach at the Durand Glass factory in Millville Sunday afternoon. Local firemen were brought to the scene to assist with the breach which resulted in some molten glass coming from a tank. No word of any injuries.
A rate increase has been approved for South Jersey Gas, with the higher prices going into effect on November 1st. The average residential customer will see their gas bills increase by nearly $15.00 per month. The revenue will be used for various infrastructure updates throughout our region.

Margate has struck a deal with state officials on a new drainage system and improvements for the dunes and the beach. The agreement will result in a drainage system on the beaches and dunes that will prevent problems that plagued this summer’s beach fill project that resulted in stagnant rainwater sitting on the beaches.
Ocean City is getting additional time to dredge its navigation channels. The State announced that a seasonal restriction that would have shut down the project in the fall has been lifting which will allow dredging to occur through March 1st. This will extend the dredging season for another three to five months.
A drainage improvement project is coming to a section of Bayshore Road in North Cape May that will result in one lane of traffic, starting Monday. The County announced that Bayshore Road near Old Mill Road in North Cape May will be impacted. The work is expected to take about three days to complete.
