There’s a new online advertising campaign launched by republicans to oust democratic United States Senator Robert Menendez, if he’s convicted of federal bribery charges. The campaign suggests that republican Chris Christie should hold the Senate seat if Menendez is convicted; his trial begins on Wednesday.
The Middle Township Committee meets Wednesday night and is expected to approve a resolution that will authorize an accelerated tax sale in the community. The Committee may also authorize a contract for the Lomax Consulting Group for an environmental project.

Congressman Frank LoBiondo is supportive of President Trump’s plan to wipe out former President Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals law. LoBiondo called Obama’s legislation a quote “violation of executive authority”.
Cape May County will continue a construction project in Stagecoach Road in Upper Township on Wednesday. County officials announced that traffic will be detoured at Church Road and then join Stagecoach Again at Butter Road. This should be the final day of the two day project.
Lower Township Police arrested a 30 year old man who was a wanted fugitive from Virginia. Police say they arrested Christian Groome who had left Virginia and recently moved into the area. Groome was also wanted in the states of Florida, and South Carolina.
American Legion Post #198 in Cape May Court House will be having a blood drive with the American Red Cross on September 16th. The Post announced that the drive will begin at 9am and all donors will receive a free haircut coupon from a local salon. ##
Vineland Police are on the hunt for two suspects who allegedly shot a juvenile at an apartment complex over the holiday weekend. Police say a juvenile male was shot in his side at the Axtell Apartment complex around 2am on Saturday. The two suspects have not been captured. ##
