Governor-elect Phil Murphy has picked New Jersey Assemblywoman Elizabeth Muoio as the next State Treasurer. NJ Advance Media reports that Muoio will be introduced by Murphy today at a press conference at 12 Noon. She will need to get approval from the democrat-controlled New Jersey Senate.
About 1,000 students at Vineland High School stayed home on Tuesday, fearing a violent act. A 91 year old man who came up missing in Egg Harbor Township on Tuesday was found dead by police near his home. Police confirmed that they found the body of William Froehner who lived in Farmington. Froehner had battled dementia and had walked away from his home before.

Middle Township Police are investigating the circumstances regarding the discovery of a deceased male at a makeshift campsite on Satt Boulevard on Sunday. Police say the body of 50 year old Richard Mutumba, a homeless man originally from Kenya, was found. The investigation into the death continues, and toxicology tests are pending.
