A huge lottery jackpot is in front of New Jersey residents this evening. Lottery officials say tonight’s Mega Millions lottery drawing jackpot could approach $343 million. The drawing occurs just before 11pm, and if one person wins the entire jackpot, it would be the 23rd largest prize in United States history.
Lower Township Police say a family was able to safely escape a house fire on New Year’s night in the 400 block of Seashore Road. Fire crews responded to the fire shortly before 9pm and were able to extinguish the fire in a few minutes. The fire was not of a suspicious origin.
