The Lower Township Council meets Monday night and could ratify a four year contract between the Township and its superior offices. Council may also consider a special emergency appropriation for the preparation of an approved tax map. The meeting starts Monday at 7:00pm.
North Wildwood’s council will meet Wednesday to go out to bid for several improvement projects. Council may authorize bids for 24th Avenue boardwalk access improvements, a bulkhead replacement for 14th and 15th avenues, and a municipal toilet contract. Council may also establish a stipend program for its volunteer fire department.

Former Ocean City High School athletic director Christine Lentz was acquitted of official misconduct charges by a jury on Friday. Lentz was accused of hacking into the email account of a school superintendent with an iPad. Lentz retired after a 30-year career with the school district.
Voter fraud allegations from the mayor of Atlantic City right before the city’s election. Republican Mayor Don Guardian says the fraud involves absentee ballots, alleging dead people are being allowed to vote. Guardian wants his county prosecutor’s office to investigate.
A massive beach fill project in Ocean City is underway. City officials say the dredge “Texas” began pumping sand on the beaches Thursday night. Ocean City will get 1.3 million cubic yards of sand on its beaches from Seaspray Road to 13th Street.
The County plans to replace the railings on the Townsend’s Inlet Bridge between Avalon and Sea Isle City, and that will require an overnight closure of the bridge to prep for the work. If your travels take you well up the Garden State Parkway, be aware of an emergency lane closure. Parkway officials announced Friday that emergency bridge repairs are needed northbound just above milepost 109. A backhoe accidentally caused damage to the bridge and it must be repaired.

Lentz is accused of spying on a superintendent’s iPad in order to gain an upper hand in contract negotiations. Lentz’s attorneys say she spied in the co-worker’s email account for personal reasons.
