A man who robbed four banks including one in Ocean City has been sentenced to 87 months in prison. 43 year old Bruce Wayne Higgins of Virginia robbed a branch of TD Bank in Ocean City and another bank in Atlantic City. Higgins must also pay nearly $24,000 in restitution.

The legal age to purchase and use cigarettes in the Garden State has increased back to 21 years of age. A new state law takes effect today that increases the smoking age to 21; it used to be 19. The restriction applies to all tobacco products and electronic smoking devices.

Cape May County will soon repave some of its roads located in Middle Township. County officials confirm that Landberg Construction was awarded a $1.7 million contract to repave roads including portions of Indian Trail Road, Shunpike Road, and Hand Avenue.
