A Hammonton firefighter was taken to a hospital in critical condition Wednesday night after suffering a medical episode while fighting a fire. Officials say the fireman is now listed in stable condition at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Galloway Township.

Governor Phil Murphy announced plans on Thursday to add 20 additional passenger rail cars to help alleviate many delays associated with New Jersey Transit train service. Murphy has called for an overhaul of NJT, calling it a “national disgrace”. Murphy admits the additional trains will not cure all of the problems associated with train service.

Lower Township Police say a five-vehicle accident Tuesday was caused by an impaired driver. Police have charged 35 year old Crystal A.
