The Atlantic County Utilities Authority will conduct recycling collection service to Dennis Township starting in 2018. The Township issued a press release saying it will handle the recycling collection that was previously conducted by the Dennis Township Department of Public Works. Outgoing Atlantic City Mayor Don Guardian has a new job. Guardian will assume the role of Business Administrator for Toms River in 2018. Guardian will replace the current Business Administrator who retires in two weeks. A resolution to appoint Guardian was approved this week by Toms River’s council.
Dennis Township will hold its reorganization meeting on Tuesday evening, January 2nd. The Committee will welcome two new republican members, Thomas VanArtsdalen III and Scott J. Turner. Republicans will be firmly in control of the Township Committee in what has previously been considered to be a democratic community.
