There’s a bill being considered in Trenton that would bail out the State’s nuclear power industry. The new bill would raise typical energy bills by over $40 per year. It will be considered by a key Senate committee in Trenton today.

Vineland Police broke ground Wednesday on a brand new public safety building. The new police station will cost $20 million and should be completed by the end of the year. The Cumberland County Improvement Authority is funding both the acquisition of land and the construction for the building.

A 29 year old Vineland man has admitted to charges that he stole a car in order to rob three banks bank in 2016. Nathan L. Wallace robbed the banks and in some cases used a revolver to steal the funds. The car was set on fire in an attempt to destroy the evidence. He…
A federal judge has tossed some of the charges against Senator Robert Menendez but allowed many charges to stick for a potential re-trial on a corruption complaint. United States District Judge William Walls denied requests by Menendez’ attorneys for an acquittal on all charges. The federal government plans to proceed expeditiously with the new trial.
A Lakewood man has started a petition to raise the legal speed limit on the Garden State Parkway to 75 mph. NJ.com reports that Mendel Rosenfeld has started the petition and has over 800 signatures on it already. Rosenfeld claims the Parkway can handle the higher speeds since many drivers travel at 75 mph illegally. …

A 27 year old employee of Bank of America in Cape May Court House has been charged by police with stealing nearly $12,000 of customers’ funds.
