A long project to make necessary repairs to Ocean City’s 34th Street bridge will hit am major milestone this week. The bridge will be open to two lanes of traffic starting Thursday morning. A two year project is underway to re-deck the bridge which needed major repairs. ##

Mayor Jay Gillian announced that the budget was approved on Thursday night that will finance a capital plan to make various street, beach, and bay improvements. The project to repair the 34th Street Bridge in Ocean City will be wrapped up by May 4th. Mayor Jay Gillian announced that this phase of the work will be completed by that date. Gillian also announced that the new firehouse at 29th Street is nearly finished as well. ##
There will be a second overnight closure of the Roosevelt Boulevard Bridge in Ocean City Monday night into Tuesday. City officials say the bridge will be shut down Monday at 10am and reopen by sunrise the following day so new concrete can be poured on the span. ##
