A two hour lane closure is expected on Ocean City’s 34th Street Bridge Tuesday evening. Pavement reflectors will be installed on the bridge, weather permitting. The closure is expected to begin around 11:00pm.

A small power outage in Ocean City forced some boardwalk rides to stop at unexpected times. The outage Monday night affected Ocean City’s Playland Castaway Cove, according to the Press of Atlantic City. A Ferris wheel was turned by hand in order to get riders off. Power was restored by nightfall.

An 18 year old Ocean City man has been arrested and charged this week with allegedly selling hashish, or edible marijuana, in the County. Prosecutors say William Baker was allegedly selling items for consumption that included pot. Baker was arrested without incident by the Ocean City Police Department five days ago.
Ocean City High School baseball pitcher Dan Nunan is expected to sign with the Los Angeles Angels in Arizona later today. Nunan is 18 years old and was picked by the Angels in the 12th round of the recent MLB draft. Nunan has committed to play at Delaware University.
Six people were rescued from a boat near Ocean City on Sunday as the vessel caught on fire. A Coast Guard vessel rescued all six people on the boat; the boat’s fire was extinguished and taken to a marina in Somers Point. There were no injuries.
