North Wildwood is expected to consider an ordinance this week that would create a vacant property registration for the city. Council is also expected to establish standards for a new vegetation management plan, and introduce an ordinance for the extension of Seaport Pier Redevelopment Plan. A small section of the North Wildwood beachfront will be closed today and Thursday for necessary dune repairs. North Wildwood Police report that the beach between 3rd and 5th avenues will be closed in order for the stabilization of dunes to occur; the rest of the city’s beach is open. ##

Friday night’s thunderstorms at the Jersey Cape caused the Beschen Callahan lifeguard races in North Wildwood to be postponed. The event has been rescheduled for Monday at 6pm on the North Wildwood beaches. ##
North Wildwood Police are trying to find a purse snatcher who stole a woman’s purse during Memorial Day weekend. City police have released a photo of the suspect and announced that several transactions using the woman’s stolen credit card were made at various Philadelphia stores. ##
The Anglesea Night Market returns to North Wildwood this Thursday night. The market will run for six hours, starting at 4pm, and include nearly 20 food vendors. The city will offer free Jitney service to get visitors to and from the event. ##
