North Wildwood now has a Project Medicine Drop box at the police station. The box allows members of the public to discard of unused medications to help prevent prescription drug abuse. The box is available at any time for residents to get rid of their unwanted medications.
North Wildwood will introduce its 2019 municipal budget during its next Council meeting Tuesday morning. Council is also expected to discuss and adopt the budget for the Wildwoods Boardwalk Special Improvement District during the meeting, and may introduce an ordinance to vacate portions of 14th Avenue.
North Wildwood will posthumously honor John J. Maley during its St. Patrick’s Day parade next month. Maley was a United States Army veteran and a longtime resident of the city. Maley also was a key manager of the annual North Wildwood Irish Fall Festival that is held annually in September.

North Wildwood Police have nabbed a 37 year old man who was squatting inside a shed on 23rd Avenue. City police announced the arrest of Matthew Loughlin who was staying inside the shed; stolen construction tools from a job site were also discovered. Loughlin was taken to jail on burglary and theft charges.
North Wildwood is expected to authorize emergency sewer repairs during its meeting next Tuesday morning. The repairs will be done on both Central and New Jersey avenues. Council will also make appointments to Council committees, and to volunteer fire departments.
A pre-trial hearing will be held later this month in the case involving Atlantic City Mayor Frank Gilliam and Councilman Jeffree Fauntleroy Jr. and their fight outside of an Atlantic City casino.
