North Wildwood Police have announced no parking restrictions in the city’s entertainment district during the Memorial Day weekend, for public safety reasons. The restrictions will be in effect from 6:00pm until 6:00am Friday through Sunday. Ride share drivers will be able to pick up and drop off passengers during those times.

The North Wildwood Police Department will participate in Click it or Ticket later this month. The annual enforcement program begins on May 20th and runs through June 2nd. Seat belt usage among adults in the front seat is high, but drops to 48 percent in back seats.
North Wildwood Police have alerted the public about some road detours that will be established Sunday morning. The Mud Hen Half Marathon will take place Sunday and detours will be set up from 6:30am until 11:30am in some sections of the community, including on JFK Beach Drive, Surf Avenue, and Central Avenue.
North Wildwood has begun the process of moving sand from the Wildwood beaches to local beaches where nourishment is needed. City officials say that some beaches will be intermittently closed to the public from 2nd Street south to 26th Street as the sand project occurs. A traffic jughandle located on North Wildwood Boulevard will be closed for a period of about two months so bulkhead work can be completed. The city announced the project on its website and notes that Jughandle K to Anglesea Drive will be closed during this project. The anticipated start date is March 18th.
Sean McMullen from the Anglesea Pub in North Wildwood will be named to the St. Patrick’s Ring of Honor during the Philadelphia St. Patrick’s Day parade this month. The Ring of Honor is to recognize individuals who have given exemplary service to the Irish community in the Philadelphia and Tri-State areas.
