North Wildwood’s council meets Tuesday afternoon and is expected to authorize a resolution to go out to bid to rent equipment for another sand back passing operation. Heavy equipment is needed to move sand to restore North Wildwood’s beaches. Tuesday’s meeting begins at 5:00pm.

The daughters of Philadelphia Mayor James Kenney and North Wildwood Councilwoman Kellyann Tolomeo both pleaded guilty to creating a disturbance during a fight near a bar in North Wildwood. 25 year old Nora Kenney and 27 year old Tara Tolomeo are both ordered to pay small fines.
Olde New Jersey Avenue in North Wildwood will be closed this weekend for the Boots and the Beach country music event. Olde New Jersey Avenue will be closed from Spruce Avenue to First Avenue; some other side streets will be closed as well. The event gets underway on Friday.
North Wildwood has received a $35,000 grant from the New Jersey Department of Homeland Security. The city will use the funding for the purchase of 46 firefighter turnout gears. Training on the new gear will be provided for members.
