A planning board meeting in North Wildwood will be held electronically tonight. The city announced that the meeting will be held on the Zoom platform instead of in person. Members of the public will still be able to participate in the meeting, albeit electronically.
North Wildwood Mayor Patrick Rosenello has cancelled his city’s St. Patrick’s Day parade planned for Saturday. Rosenello announced that the decision came based on a recommendation by Governor Phil Murphy during a press conference held Thursday. Rosenello says the safety and protection of residents and visitors is “paramount”.
North Wildwood Police have announced two new, four stop intersections. Police announced on social media that the intersections will be located at Spruce and Olde New Jersey avenues, and at Spruce and New York avenues. The new four way stops will be in effect on Wednesday.

North Wildwood will introduce its municipal budget during a Council meeting on Tuesday. Council is also expected to consider the adoption of the Wildwoods Boardwalk Special Improvement District budget, and establish the 2020 sewer rates. A resolution appears on the agenda for the expanded of licensed alcohol premises for the Morey Organzation.
North Wildwood’s council is expected to create positions in its finance department. City leaders will introduce an ordinance on Tuesday that will create the office of Deputy Tax Collector, and Deputy Financial Official. Tuesday’s meeting begins at 10:00am.
No injuries were reported from a house fire in North Wildwood over the weekend. Fire crews responded to a blaze that was contained to one room at a property in the 300 block of 16th Avenue. The fire was contained to the second floor. No word yet on how it started.
The North Wildwood City Council meets Tuesday afternoon and is expected to make various appointments to Council committees for 2020. Council is also expected to consider a resolution for the introduction of the boardwalk special improvement district budget, and authorize a bid for renovations to the 4th Avenue Public Safety Building.
A viewing will be held Monday for 82 year old Pasquale “Pat” Piro of Wildwood Crest. Piro passed away Wednesday at Cape Regional Medical Center. Piro was well known for being the owner of Piro’s Village Restaurant in North Wildwood. A viewing will be held a the Ingersoll Greenwood Funeral Home.
North Wildwood Police are advising motorists that there are no pre-planned road closures in the city today for President Trump’s visit to the Wildwoods.
