Senator Cory Booker has qualified for November’s democratic presidential debates. Booker has achieved the fundraising threshold, and also has earned three percent support in latest polling. Booker also has over 165,000 donors to his campaign.
New Jersey now has a documented death as a direct result of vaping. The New Jersey Department of Health announced that the woman died in August; her identity has not been revealed. There are also 14 cases of lung disease from vaping in the Garden State.
Someone stole three bronze plaques that were affixed to a 9/11 memorial in Monmouth County. Police in Atlantic Highlands say the plaques were stolen from the memorial at a scenic overlook. Police say the park provides a solemn and respectful opportunity for reflection on the events 19 years ago.

People are back to work in New Jersey. The state’s latest unemployment rate is at an all time record low of 3.2 percent, which is a half percent lower than the national rate. There are over 4.2 million full time jobs in New Jersey.
A half hour closure of the Delaware Memorial Bridge will be held on Sunday. The bridge will be closed at approximately 1:00am to allow a ship to shore crane bound to Philadelphia to pass under the span. Traffic delays are expected even during the overnight hours.
