TRAFFIC FATALITIES SPIKED IN 2014 OVER ’13

Last year was a bad year for traffic fatalities in the Garden State.  New figures released by the New Jersey State Police show 563 people killed in traffic accidents last year which is 21 more than the prior year.  There were five fatalities over the Thanksgiving break, and nine during the Christmas break.

NEW JERSEY’S MINIMUM WAGE GOES UP SLIGHTLY

The new year brings a new minimum wage for the State of New Jersey.  The new minimum wage is now $8.38 an hour due to an automatic adjustment.  That represents a paltry 13 cent an hour increase for the state’s lowest earners.  Each year, the wage will be automatically adjusted on January 1st.
