A 21 year old college student from New Jersey has died after she participated in a pancake eating contest. Caitlin Nelson of Clark, New Jersey, died after her airway became blocked during a competition held at Sacred Heart University. Nelson succumbed three days after the contest.
A 14 year old teenager was killed during an ATV accident in Southampton Township, Burlington County. Authorities say the accident occurred around 3pm on Saturday. Two other teens were injured in the accident.
A 46 year old man who was shot and killed by New Jersey State Police at a New Jersey Turnpike rest stop on Thursday was speeding his truck towards a police officer after he was shooting heroin. More than 130 arrests have been made statewide on individuals who are illegally dumping construction debris, furniture, and other junk items in open spaces. DEP Commissioner Bob Martin says the program is three years old and has resulted in a multi-jurisdictional enforcement of individuals who dump waste in forests, parks, and other open spaces. ##
