A longtime North Jersey police chief has been charged with directing officers to provide police escorts for a funeral home that he owns. State officials announced that charges were brought against Robert Kugler, the police chief in Saddle Brook. Kugler was charged with official misconduct and other offenses.
It was an unusual day on the Ben Franklin Bridge. A tractor trailer overturned earlier today, tossing thousands of onions onto the bridge span.
