Governor Christie is calling for Cuba to hand over Joanne Chesimard, the woman accused of killing State Trooper Werner Foerster. This weekend marked the 40th anniversary of Chesimard’s conviction. He was killed during a traffic stop on the New Jersey Turnpike in 1973.
Two bodies were found in the water off Monmouth Beach on Friday. Police say the bodies of a male and a female were both found near a dock on the Shrewsbury River side of the community. Autopsies are being held over the weekend.
