Rowan University’s sports complex is about to get a whole lot bigger. University officials will be leasing approximately 300 acres to developers who plan to build an arena and dozens of sports fields. The move was approved by the university’s Board of Trustees on Wednesday.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding a car that was located in the Mullica River Monday morning with a body inside. Police were called the river and believe the Honda Civic went through an intersection and straight into the river. The name of the deceased has not yet been released.

It’s an extension of four days for a bear hunt in New Jersey. State authorities say the hunt will continue due to a low number of bears that were killed during the hunt that was supposed to end last week. The hunt resumes Wednesday morning.
Four more individuals have been charged in connection with Hurricane Sandy fraud. Attorney General Christopher Porrino announced Friday that four more people have been charged with receiving benefits for which they were not entitled. One of them is 57 year old Carmen Martinez of Atlantic City.
