Nine people were injured Friday afternoon during a large apartment fire in Lakewood. Officials say the blaze torched several units of the Covington Village Apartments that houses people 55 and older. Heavy fire was on all three floors when the firemen arrived.

A man approached a woman in Berkeley, New Jersey earlier this month and asked to pet her dog. Just one problem, he exposed himself as he did so. Police in the community are looking for the suspect who approached the woman and exposed himself; no suspects are in custody.

Two people were killed Tuesday afternoon during an accident on the Garden State Parkway in Toms River. State Police say the driver and passenger of the vehicle were both killed when the car they were driving in overturned on a median. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
A brand new gubernatorial poll shows democrat Phil Murphy with a 19 point lead over republican Kim Guadagno. The new Suffolk University/USA Today poll released Tuesday shows Guadagno with only 25 percent support among likely voters in November; a recent Fox News poll had the race a bit closer.
The United States Coast Guard has recovered a body about a mile off the beaches of Barnegat Light. The body was recovered shortly before 9am on Tuesday. The cause of death, gender, and identity of the individual has not been released; an autopsy will be performed.
The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission is warning residents about purchasing used vehicles that may have been potentially damaged by hurricanes Irma and Harvey. The Commission says that many vehicles often come up for sale in states a far distance away from where the storms actually hit.
