Governor Phil Murphy is telling New Jersey residents to be prepared for some foul weather courtesy of Hurricane Florence. Florence is still a Carolina landfall storm event, but wind and rain are possible for our region during the start of the weekend. Murphy says Cape May, Cumberland, and Salem Counties could feel the worst impact.

A huge increase to the State’s minimum wage could be looming. Governor Murphy announced that one of the top priorities this fall is to jack up the minimum wage from $8.60 an hour to $15 an hour. Murphy promised to make the higher wage law and says “the time for excuses are over”.

Two people were shot to death, two others injured during an incident in the North Jersey community of Paterson Sunday night. Authorities say a 48 year old man and a 33 year old woman were both shot to death; two others were also shot, all Paterson residents. No suspects are in custody.
