Murphy announced Monday that he wants to add 400,000 new jobs to the State’s economy by 2025, and see $625 million in new capital improvement projects. Murphy says the State must also do what it can to reduce poverty.

A Senate committee in New Jersey has advanced a ban of single use plastics by merchants in the Garden State. The ban would prohibit merchants from offering plastic bags, straws, and styrofoam products. An initial proposal by Governor Murphy that would have taxed the bags fell through earlier this year.
