Many shopping malls in the Garden State will be open and doing business before sunup Friday. Many malls, including the Hamilton Mall, open at 6am on Friday and most stay open until 9pm. Many stores remained closed on Thanksgiving Day this year.
There were over 2,300 new coronavirus cases reported in New Jersey on Thanksgiving Day. State officials say the rate of transmission continues to be slightly above 1.2, which means the virus is spreading. All of the State’s 21 counties have high transmission rates.
A large barn caught fire in Gloucester County Wednesday morning and the blaze has sent at least one person to the hospital. The fire began in the barn on Tuckahoe Road in Monroe Township. The blaze generated several alarms and was brought under control by local fire departments.

A nine year old child was killed during an automobile accident on a Parkway entrance ramp in Ocean County. State Police say the boy was killed Saturday night when a vehicle ran off the road and overturned. The boy has been identified as Jake Olivos of Beachwood.

The two boaters who were tossed into the Delaware River when their 19-foot boat capsized over the weekend are missing and presumed drowned. Authorities say there has been no sign of the boaters who went missing near Gloucester County. One man was recovered by volunteers and he is making a full recovery.
