If you have a very old parking ticket issued in New Jersey, chances are it will be extinguished. Supreme Court Chief Justice Stuart Rabner is taking steps to toss over 700,000 parking tickets that are more than 15 years old in New Jersey. The cases may be dismissed because they were not prosecuted.
Various fees will be going up at Rutgers University in the fall. The state’s university announced that there will be a 2.3 percent increase in various fees and tuition during the upcoming school year. The average in-state students will pay just under $15,000 to attend Rutgers.

It’s getting close to a half billion dollars. There were no winners Tuesday night in the Mega Millions lottery drawing. That means the top prize for Friday night’s drawing an estimated $422 million, which is the tenth largest in this game’s history.
A 67 year old woman from London had her right ankle impaled by part of an umbrella that broke apart due to wind on a New Jersey beach. Authorities say it happened in Seaside Heights Monday afternoon. A bolt cutter was used to free the woman from the umbrella before transport to a local hospital.
23 people were injured when five school busses crashed in Medford Lakes on Monday. Children and adults suffered injuries when the five busses somehow rear ended each other in what appears to be a chain collision. The accident occurred near Tuckerton Road.

The Murphy Administration has begun an effort to weed out fraud in the health insurance plan that is offered to public employees. Murphy believes $77 million can be saved with this effort. Premiums are expected to increase by about six percent next year.

The Mega Millions lottery jackpot will be worth approximately $306 million when the numbers are drawn later tonight. This is the largest jackpot since April when a New Jersey man hit the progressive jackpot for a cool $533 million.
