35 members of New Jersey Task Force One were deployed Wednesday night to Alabama to assist with relief from Hurricane Michael. Two K9 specialists from the New York Task Force One are also making the trip. The group will be staged at Maxwell Air Force base in Montgomery, according to State Police.

New Jersey State Police are sending an emergency response team to Alabama to assist with Hurricane Michael relief efforts. Michael came on shore early Wednesday afternoon as a very strong Category 4 hurricane with maximum winds of 150mph. Hundreds of thousands of people are without power.
Some major repair work is coming to the Delaware Memorial Bridge. The Delaware River and Bay Authority announced that expansion joint repairs will be conducted beginning on Monday, and lanes leading into New Jersey, and then Delaware, will be closed during this work.
