Governor Phil Murphy says 1,400 new jobs are coming to New Jersey as a result of his ongoing business trip to India. Murphy told NJ Advance Media that companies already with a presence in our state will expand operations, and create more jobs. Some of these jobs involve technology.
New Jersey is ready to roll out its Real ID system through the Motor Vehicle Commission. Starting in 13 months, a Real ID or a passport will be needed to board commercial domestic flights. The Commission is adding 209 new full time workers next year to handle the glut of requests.
A longtime republican State Senator, Anthony Bucco, has passed away at the age of 81. Bucco suffered a major heart attack on Monday and passed away peacefully. Bucco represented an area of the state that included Morris and Somerset counties, and had served in Trenton since 1998.

A 17 year old boy who was a passenger in a van that went off the road and hit a utility pole has died. Police in Gibbsboro say the boy was a passenger in the van driven by a teenage girl who crashed the van into the pole. She was not injured in the accident.
