Two more retail stores under the Sears chain are closing in South Jersey. In the latest round of announced store closures, the KMart store on Delsea Drive in Glassboro, and the Sears department store at the Deptford Mall will both be closing.

Two people were injured Thursday afternoon when they were struck by a car along the side of Watsons Mill Road in Alloway Township, Salem County. When police arrived, they found two bicycles that were damaged at the scene. Medivacs were sent to assist with the injured. So far, no names have been released.

Senate hopeful Bob Hugin didn’t exactly heap praise on democrat Robert Menendez in his concession speech Tuesday night. Hugin told his supporters that “the people of New Jersey do deserve better” after conceding defeat to Menendez. Menendez was brought up on corruption charges before this election season.

Robert Menendez is returning to the United States Senate. Major news organizations including ABC, the Associated Press, and NBC News all have projected Menendez to defeat republican Bob Hugin in the hotly contested Senate race. This will be Menendez’ third term in the Senate.
