Millville Police have charged a teenage girl with creating a false public alarm following a post on a fake Instagram page. The teenage girl posted a picture of Millville High School and a coffin with the words “I’m coming”. The threat was debunked, and the girl was arrested.

Millville Police are dealing with a barricade situation in the community. It began late Monday afternoon when police told neighbors to evacuate their homes. Someone inside one of the homes is barricaded inside, and a three block area near Second Street and Wheaton Avenue has been blocked off.

One man was gunned down and killed at a parking lot adjacent to an elementary school in Millville Thursday night. The shooting occurred at the Lakeside Middle School shortly after 8pm. The suspect remains at large; police continue to investigate.
Police in Millville are looking for the suspects who are committing vandalism at the Rieck Avenue Elementary School. Authorities have found broken windows and trash can fires at the school. Police believe the vandals are throwing rocks at the windows.
A 26 year old Millville man has been charged with attempted murder after he stabbed both of his parents in June. Police say Johnathan Patton of Carlton Avenue stabbed his father six times; his mother had cuts on her arm. Both survived the stabbing incident. Patton has a court date on August 23rd.
