A 35 year old Millville man has been sentenced to 23 years in prison for the killing of Diante Broughton back in 2015. Octavium Robinson was convicted on a second degree manslaughter charge and other offenses. The killing occurred at the intersection of North 2nd and Broad Streets in the city.
A 64 year old Millville man has been convicted on charges that he beat a woman outside of a city liquor store with a lawn chair. Clarence “Mad Dog” Jenkins was convicted last week on a charge of second degree assault. Jenkins could face up to a decade behind bars when he’s sentenced in April.

A third grade student at the Holly Heights Elementary School in Millville was found with marijuana in his backpack. The Daily Journal reports that the student had a Ziploc bag with about an ounce of pot. Police say the student will not be charged.
A 25 year old Millville man will spend the next 30 years of his life in prison for using a concrete block to kill another man. Justin “Spazz” Daughtry will also be ineligible for parole during his term. He killed 21 year old Port Norris resident Sean Hill back in April, 2016.
