The bridge that connects Wildwood Crest to Lower Township will be closed for two weeks. The Middle Thorofare Bridge will close for two weeks starting next Monday; the bridge is expected to open again on March 4th. A vehicle took out a utility pole on Route 9 in Lower Township Monday morning, closing that roadway in both directions for part of the day. Police say it happened around 7am on Route 9 in Erma when a pickup truck veered off the snowy roadway and clobbered the pole. No injuries were reported.
