The Lower Cape May Regional School District has cancelled all field trips. In a letter dated March 11th that appears on the district’s website, Superintendent Joseph Castelucci announced that all assemblies, dances, concerts, evening events and sporting events will remain as scheduled.

43 year old Andrew Wells of the Villas has been charged with peddling methamphetamine in Cape May County. Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland says Wells was nabbed in Rio Grande on January 31st; over one ounce of crystal meth was recovered by authorities. Wells was charged with possession and distribution offenses.
Kevin Coombs begins his first full week on the Lower Township Council. Coombs was sworn in to office last week by Mayor Frank Sippel. Coombs is filling the Council seat the belonged to Sippel, who was named mayor after Erik Simonsen won a seat in the New Jersey Assembly.
Lower Township Police are asking the public for prayers and support for officer Kenny Walker. Officer Walker was diagnosed this month with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Walker has began chemotherapy treatment. AML can spread to other parts of the body. Donations can be accepted through a Go Fund Me page.

Lower Township Police on Friday issued an alert for 30 year old William Fennimore who came up missing on Thursday. Police say he was last seen on Apple Blossom Drive in North Cape May. Fennimore has no vehicle. Anyone with information about Fennimore’s whereabouts are asked to contact Lower Township Police.
