Jeremiah Monell has pleaded not guilty to charges that he killed his estranged wife. Monell appeared in court on Friday and told the judge that he did not stab 35 year old Tara O’Shea-Watson to death on December 18rth. Monell has already rejected a plea bargain deal. ##
Murder suspect Jules Black will remain behind bars in Cumberland County for allegedly killing another man on April 9th. The 30 year old Vineland resident is accused in the murder of 26 year old Christian Rodgers who was attacked on East Chestnut Avenue in Vineland. ##
There’s a brand new telephone scam in Cumberland County where residents are now getting calls alleging they are from the Sheriff’s office. Cumberland County Sheriff Robert Austino says the caller makes demand of a payment, the victim would be arrested. ##
There have been five suicides at the Cumberland County Jail over the past 30 months; now, the feds are investigating. NJ.com reports that the United States Department of Justice will be investigating the suicides that began in 2014; there was a fifth suicide at the jail two months ago. ##
The Cumberland County man accused of stabbing his estranged wife to death has been indicted on four counts, including first degree murder. Jeremiah Monell was indicted by a grand jury on March 22nd in connection with the stabbing death of Tara O’Shea-Watson. ##
Charges are pending against a 16 year old boy who crashed a stolen dirt bike Sunday in Millville. City police say the teen was flown to Cooper University Hospital in Camden following the accident. The bike was one of three taken from a truck parked at a local hotel earlier this month. ##
Two people have been rescued after being stranded in a marsh in Lower Always Creek Township. The local fire company got a call that two people were stranded during low tide, so they put their airboat into service to make the rescue before sunset. There were no injuries.
A 26 year old Bridgeton man has been indicted on charges that he set a former bowling alley on fire in Fairfield Township. Todd Lloyd was arrested following an investigation by State Police. Lloyd was indicted on burglary and aggravated arson offenses. ##
