There were two million dollar Powerball lottery jackpots sold in New Jersey, and one of them came from a Citgo gas station in Dorchester, Cumberland County. There were also 26 third prize winners in the Garden State. ##
Three Cumberland County men have pleaded guilty to dogfighting crimes. Authorities say the three men shipped dogs across the country so they could fight to their death. 40 year old Frank Nichols of Millville, 36 year old Anthony Gaines and 32 year old Lydell Harris, both of Vineland, were involved in the crimes. ##
The former Progresso Soup plant in Vineland will be getting a new tenant soon. The building formerly occupied by 300 employees may become the new home of F & S Produce Company. Mayor Anthony Fanucci said he wanted to find a new tenant for the building as quickly as possible. ##
A grand jury has refused to bring any criminal charges in the State Police shooting death of 31 year old Jimmy L. Testa of Maurice River. The shooting took place on High Street last November. During the shooting Testa fought with police and grabbed a steel pipe to hit two police officers. ##
A former football star at Buena High school and teenager have been charged with murder in Winslow Township. Authorities say 20 year old Tyler Dralle and a teenager from Delaware killed 45 year old Deanna Scordo; the motive was burglary. ##
A 32 year old Cumberland County man has been charged by State Police with touching a six year old girl who was under his supervision. Joseph Rowland of Milmay was indicted by a grand jury on a charge of first degree aggravated sexual assault, and other offenses. ##
Among the wild weather the Jersey Shore experienced Sunday evening…a waterspout that developed in Cumberland County. Officials had to rescue three people from the marshes in Downe Township after a water spout came within ten feet of them. There were no injuries. ##
State Police are seeking the man who robbed a branch of TD Bank in Upper Deerfield Thursday morning. The man handed a teller note demanding some money and made off with an undetermined amount of cash. The bank is located close to the Bridgeton State Police barracks. ##
A 23 year old Millville man was arrested while in possession of a handgun at the Cumberland Mall Friday night. Police say Jabar Selby did not fire any shots; police found Selby in the parking lot armed with the weapon. He was charged with unlawful possession of a handgun. ##
There’s been another fatal accident on Route 55 in South Jersey. State Police say the accident occurred around 3am Thursday in the northbound lanes of the highway approaching Route 40. A pickup truck collided with a dump truck; police say it appears that it was a wrong way accident. ##
