A 17 year old boy died over the weekend after a drowning incident at a pond located in Millville. Police announced that the teen succumbed to the incident at Menantico Ponds on Friday. His friends were able to drag him to shore with the assistance of a stranger.
Students who attend the Technical Education Center in Cumberland County may be permitted to soon play sports in their home school districts. The Daily Journal reports that principals from Millville, Cumberland Regional, and Cumberland County could start negotiations next week on the deal. The state told the districts to begin having the meetings this month.
The body of a missing man was found earlier this week in a Cumberland County marsh. State Police have announced that the body of 28 year old Ronald Vega of Millville was located in a marsh near Cedarville. At this time, foul play is not suspected.

Two men have been indicted on charges that they committed a series of armed robberies in Cumberland County during the winter. 16 counts have been filed against 45 year old Richard Martinez of Vineland, and 24 year old Nicholas Alaimo, also of Vineland. Martinez is charged with five counts of possession of a handgun.
