He’s guilty. 34 year old Jeremiah Monell has been convicted of stabbing his estranged wife to death in December, 2016 in Cumberland County. Tara O’Shea-Watson was stabbed nearly 90 times during the attack. Monell did not testify in his own defense; he will now face life behind bars.
Four people are being sought by State Police for assaulting and robbing a delivery driver in Upper Deerfield Township, Cumberland County, Sunday afternoon. Police say there was a lone gunman, and have released a composite sketch of the suspect. The bandits got cash, a wallet, and two cellphones.
Local democrat Bob Andrzejczak will be a New Jersey State Senator by the end of the day. Andrzejczak will be sworn in to the Senate seat vacated by Jeff Van Drew today; Van Drew became a member of Congress. Still to be determined..who will fill Andrzejczak’s seat in the State Assembly.
44 year old Cinnamon Corley of Millville has been indicted on charges that she contributed to the death of her disabled son who died at the age of 24, weighing only 73 pounds. A grand jury indicted Corley on very serious charges that could result in a life term in prison, if convicted.
Traffic was detoured off southbound Route 55 for a portion of the afternoon Wednesday after a tanker truck flipped on its side. It happened in Sewell, near the intersection with Route 322. No injuries were reported; the accident was cleaned up.

There’s been another suicide at the Cumberland County Jail. 32 year old Gregory Kubiak of Vineland was found last weekend in the jail, and died four days later. There have been multiple suicides at the Cumberland and Atlantic County jails, and an investigation is underway.
The head of the Cumberland County republican organization will run for the State Senate seat being vacated by Jeff Van Drew. Michael Testa announced this week that he is running for the office that Van Drew is vacating to take a seat in Congress. Testa has been active in arts program in southern New Jersey.
A vehicle crashed into a movie theater at the Cumberland Mall Wednesday afternoon. Vineland Police say the accident occurred shortly after 1:00pm Wednesday. A car went over a curb, onto a walkway, and hit the theater. There were no injuries.
The GOP is clearly in charge of the offshore communities. There were six contested elections in Dennis, Middle, and Lower Townships combined and the Republican Party won all six of them. There were two uncontested seats also captured by the republicans in Upper Township as well.
