Cape May County’s Fare Free Transportation service is being cancelled on Friday to the barrier islands due to the threat of flooding from the approaching coastal storm. The service will remain on the mainland communities; Meals on Wheels will be delivered on a normal schedule everywhere.

Several Cape May County communities have secured municipal aid grants from the State of New Jersey. Governor Phil Murphy announced that communities including Avalon, Cape May Point, Lower Township, North Wildwood, and Dennis Township have secured grants for various street projects.
