Gasoline prices are on the rise locally. According to the latest price survey by Mid Atlantic AAA, the average price of a gallon of gas in Cape May County is $2.77, which is up seven cents over last week. We are four cents higher than the state’s average.
There were 26 new cases of coronavirus reported in Cape May County over the past 24 hours. The County reported no additional deaths. There are now 6,006 people off quarantine during the pandemic.
Cape May County reported 32 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday, and zero new deaths. Lower Township had 13 new cases, next on the list was Ocean City with five. There are four towns in the County with zero, or one, active resident cases.
Cape May County has reported 36 new cases of coronavirus. Monday’s figures place 13 of the new cases in Lower Township. There have been 6472 cases of the virus in the County since the start of the pandemic.
The Cape May County Zoo’s female snow leopard has died. County officials announced Sunday that Himani was peacefully euthanized following a battle with cancer. Himani was born in 2003 and came to the County Zoo six years later from the Knoxville Zoo. She had four litter of cubs.
February 22nd. That’s the date the Cape May County Library system will open its doors to patrons again. The Library announced that buildings will be limited to 35 percent of their capacity per gubernatorial executive order. Patrons will have 30 minutes to browse shelves, and up to one hour for computer use.
There were two dozen new cases of coronavirus reported in Cape May County Sunday. Cape May Point, Stone Harbor, and West Wildwood continue to have zero reported cases of the virus. Cape May County has the second lowest case total per capita from February 4th-11th.
There are 35 new cases of coronaviurs to report in Cape May County. New figures released by the County Department of Health shows a continued downward trend of cases. Nine of the new cases are in Middle Township, eight in Lower Township.
An 82 year old woman from Middle Township is the latest victim of coronavirus locally. The County announced 49 new cases of the virus on Wednesday. Seven of the 16 communities in the County report double digit resident cases of the virus.
Cape May County reported five new deaths from coronavirus. The victims are from Lower Township, Middle Township, and Upper Township, all of them over the age of 80. There were only 37 new cases reported on Tuesday.
