The South Jersey Transportation Authority has enlisted the help of State Police with catching toll cheats on the Atlantic City Expressway. There will be added police presence on the 47 mile highway in an attempt to catch those who want to skip paying tolls. ##
Hamilton Township opened the flood gates at Lake Lenape Monday afternoon thanks to three and a half inches of rainfall. The level of the lake was expected to drop Monday night but the river is expected to rise quickly once waters reach the Mays Landing area. Homeowners were asked to secure their properties. ##
It’s 20 years in a state prison for 50 year old Jose Anthony Caracciolo of Egg Harbor Township. Caracciolo has been sentenced for sexually assaulting a 12 year old girl and getting the girl pregnant. He took he girl to the Poconos to have sex with him. ##
19 year old Elijah Thomas of Mays Landing was arrested and charged this week by Hamilton Township Police for a burglary of a motor vehicle parked at the Festival Mall. Thomas is accused of breaking into the car to steal a pair of sunglasses and a five dollar bill. He has three previous burglary convictions.…
An electrical fire in a mechanical room at the Hamilton Mall in Mays Landing resulted in the mall being evacuated Thursday afternoon. Shoppers were sent outside as a precaution; later in the day, anchor stores at the mall opened for business. There were no injuries. ##

A massive response to a fire at a storage facility in Vineland overnight into this morning. Fire crews from two counties responded to a blaze at the Buffalo Freezer & Cold Storage facility in Pine Road in Hammonton. The fire started Thursday night; so far, no word of any injuries. ##
More than 10,000 bags of heroin has been confiscated over the past two weeks in Atlantic County. Authorities say various arrests occurred between April 27th and May 3rd following four fatal overdoses of the drug. ##
34 year old Laura Day of Mays Landing has succumbed to her injuries resulting from a motor vehicle accident last Friday. Hamilton Township Police say Day passed away Wednesday. Her vehicle struck a utility pole on Old Egg Harbor Road last week. ##
