Police in Absecon have arrested a local man and charged him with being in possession of a handgun and drugs. Police announced the arrest of 30 year old Brandon D. Degree last Friday. Degree was hauled off to the County Jail on numerous offenses.
Navigation channels have been restored in the Little Egg Inlet. The United States Coast Guard installed eight navigational buoys in the Inlet on Monday. They had been removed more than one year ago due to excessive shoaling; the Guard worked with federal and state agencies to restore the navigational channel.
