The Hamilton Mall remains closed after being shut down unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon. According to the Mall’s social media page, there are ongoing maintenance issues that are being made to the building. The Mall hopes to reopen sometime Thursday afternoon.

The United States Coast Guard rescued three mariners who became stranded when their boat ran aground in Little Egg Harbor over the weekend. The Coast Guard announced that the “Phyllis II” ran aground on Sunday; a helicopter was dispatched to the area. All three individuals were rescued without incident or injury.
A 33 year old man suffered multiple gunshot wounds in Somers Point early Monday morning. Police announced that the man was the driver of an SUV that left the scene of an incident at the Somers Point Apartments. No suspects have been identified, as of early Monday afternoon.
The Atlantic City Expressway reportedly will join the New Jersey Turnpike and Garden State Parkway with a toll increase in 2022. NJ.com was the first to report that Parkway and Turnpike tolls were going up by three percent next year; the Expressway will also follow suit to pay for its capital plan.
The Macy’s department store chain will close ten stores after the holidays. There are several stores in New Jersey, including one at the Hamilton Mall in Atlantic County. There has been no announcement as to which stores will be shuttered.
Vince Polistina was sworn in to office Monday to an interim term as a State Senator from Atlantic County. Polistina is also the Senator-elect; this short term will fill out the unexpired term of Chris Brown who resigned back in July. Then, Polistina will be sworn in to a full term.
