The Tilton 9 movie theater in Northfield has been sold to developers who also revitalized a theater recently in Stone Harbor. The Press of Atlantic City reports that a company headed by Brett Denafo bought the Tilton 9 theater from Max Gurwicz enterprises.

A ceremony will be held on the beach on Friday; LoBiondo’s longtime legislative office in Mays Landing closes next week.
A firefighter from Ventnor is the latest individual to plead guilty in connection with a massive health benefits fraud scheme in South Jersey. 37 year old Corey Sutor was in federal court Wednesday and admitted to his role in the scheme. Sutor admitted to creating more than $2 million worth of fraudulent claims.

Sentencings for the individuals involved in the murder for hire killing of April Kauffman in Atlantic County have been postponed until February. The Press of Atlantic City reports that four subjects involved in the murder will be sentenced on February 7th; a fifth subject will still be sentenced on Thursday.
Sentencing is scheduled for later this week for 62 year old Ferdinand Augello of Upper Township. He is the man accused of killing April Kauffman inside her home as part of an organized hit conducted by her husband. Augello was convicted in October on six charges.
The 42 year old woman accused of killing her mother and grandmother in Ventnor earlier this summer will be back in court on Thursday. Heather Barbera is currently held in the Atlantic County Jail. She allegedly killed both women, then fled to New York City.
Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon Tyner is reportedly under investigation for committing mortgage fraud and other offenses. Sources have told NJ Advance Media that the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office is the lead agency on the investigation. Tyner says he welcomes any effort to resolve baseless allegations.
