One woman was injured during a single vehicle accident in Margate Wednesday afternoon that resulted on the vehicle resting on its driver’s side. Police say the accident occurred on Jerome Avenue. The unidentified driver was transported to Shore Memorial Hospital, her condition is unknown.
Two beaches in New Jersey are under swimming advisories following testing for fecal coliform bacteria by the State. The New Jersey Avenue bay beach in Somers Point and a beach in Long Branch are both under advisories. They must test clean on Wednesday or the beaches would be closed.
Authorities in Brick Township were called to a home after a 15 year old boy nearly drowned in the Barnegat Bay on Saturday. The boy was found unconscious and unresponsive after being pulled from the water. He had been swimming in a lagoon before being rescued.
