Atlantic City is scheduled to get a supermarket. The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority announced that final site plan approval has been given to Village Supermarket Inc. for grocery store development in the city. The Authority has also set aside some funding for professional services fees.
August gaming revenue in Atlantic City climbed by 31 percent last month compared to last year. State officials say the casinos took in a very healthy $427.7 million dollars last month. The internet gaming win was $113 million for the gaming halls.
Atlantic City Police on Thursday announced the arrest of a man suspected of shooting two people last month in the city. 44 year old Tyron Outlaw of the city has been charged with four counts of aggravated assault, and other offenses. Two female victims, ages 52 and 16, were shot in the incident; they survived.
One of the eastbound lanes of Route 30 in Atlantic City will be closed Wednesday morning for a police investigation. Police in Atlantic City say there will be heavy delays for several hours on that roadway, starting around 9:00am. Motorists are advised to use the Atlantic City Expressway to enter Atlantic City.

Atlantic City Police say there will be major delays along Route 30, and the finish line will be in Atlantic City. Motorists should expect delays between 10am and 130pm. Atlantic City Police say four people were charged and two handguns were recovered during separate incidents in the city. Police say three city men along with a four from Absecon were charged in connection with the crimes. In one case, a loaded handgun was recovered along with 50 bags of heroin.

There is a potential for storm surge and some tidal flooding as the storm passes by.

Atlantic City Police have issued a very stern warning to operators of drones and other similar devices near the city’s air show next week. Those drones are prohibited within ten miles of the airspace used by the air show. If drones are found in violation, the drones will be confiscated and the owners arrested.
