A 15 year old girl was shot to death in Atlantic City Thursday morning. City police say the girl was shot and killed near the Ocean Resort Casino shortly after 4am today. An autopsy is being conducted on the girl’s body; the suspect is at large.
Miss America is leaving Atlantic City, again. The organization has signed a deal to have the 2020 pageant at a casino in Connecticut. The event will also move from its traditional September date to less than a week before Christmas.
A 22 year old Atlantic City man was arrested Sunday night for riding his dirt bike on the city’s boardwalk. 22 year old George Jones struck three pedestrians as he took the joy ride. Two women suffered serious injuries.

Atlantic City Police are investigating the shooting of a man early Saturday morning on North Massachusetts Avenue in the city. Police say the victim of the shooting was a 24 year old man, who remains unidentified. The gunman remains at large.
An Atlantic City police officer who won $40,000 in a whistleblower lawsuit should be entitled to sue for punitive damages, says an appellate court. Frank Timek won the judgement after he reported misconduct by another officer. Timek was assigned to another unit in the department after filing the complaint.

Three Pleasantville men have admitted to participating in a shootout on the Atlantic City Expressway. The men ambushed another motorist during the summer of 2016 and gunfire was exchanged between two vehicles. An SUV involved in the battle was shot over 20 times.
The girlfriend of Phillies outfielder Odubel Herrera has dropped assault charges lodged against him in Atlantic City. A judge agreed to the dismissal on Wednesday with the understanding that Herrera complete counseling within 60 days.
21 year old Jordan Reaves of Pleasantville was shot and killed in Atlantic City Sunday night. Police in the gaming resort responded to a shooting call on North Pennsylvania Avenue, according to the county prosecutor’s office. Reaves himself a suspect in a shooting that occurred three days ago.
