August was an outstanding month for the casino industry in Atlantic City. The gaming halls took in a whopping 13 percent more revenue last month than they did during the same month in 2018. The casinos’ win figure topped $338 million for the month of August.
Those with interests in the marijuana field will be in Atlantic City this weekend for a large cannabis convention. The convention will have displays on the medical and recreational marijuana industries which will soon be big business in the Garden State. It will be held at the Atlantic City Convention Center.
Four underage teenagers were arrested in Atlantic City following a traffic stop. City police say the teens had a gun, cocaine, and marijuana in their possession. Two of the teens were 14 years old, two were 16. They attempted to flee police in their vehicle.

ShopRite may be coming to Atlantic City. The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority voted Tuesday to approve a developer that is expected to bring the supermarket to the corner of Baltic and Indiana avenues. About 125 new jobs would be created.
